Supplier finding

Supplier finding

If you make generators, switchgear or data-centre and infrastructure equipment and you're short of capacity, we introduce you to independent UK fabricators and electrical companies whose machines and certificates fit the work. In our first read of 320 company websites, we found 95.

Who is supplier finding for?

Generator, switchgear, data-centre and infrastructure equipment makers, and the integrators who build systems from their kit. Typically the work is enclosures, frames, housings, busbar and steelwork for data centres, grid, defence, rail and similar.

What has JTM Census measured?

We read 320 company websites, all independent metal, electrical and machinery makers with 10 to 100 staff, and scored each against nine growth markets on a 0 to 3 scale. A score of 2 or more counts as capable.

95 companies are capable and independent. 67 of them already serve a growth market. 28 have the machines and certificates but don't yet serve one.

How does an introduction work?

  1. You describe the work.

The parts, the materials, the volumes and the certificates the job needs.

  2. We match it.

Against the companies we've read, on machines and certificates.

  3. We introduce you.

To the companies that fit, directly. No company is listed on this site, and there's nothing to sign up to.

  4. The conversation is yours.

We don't negotiate terms and we don't sit in the middle of the order.

Supplier finding is charged per introduction, agreed before any company is named to you. There's no published price.

Questions equipment makers ask

  • Are the suppliers independent UK companies?

Yes. All 95 scored as both capable and independent, and all have 10 to 100 staff. They're metal, electrical and machinery makers.

  • How do you judge capability?

From each company's own website, scored 0 to 3 for each of nine markets. A score of 2 or more counts as capable. One company can count in several markets.

  • Do you list the suppliers on this site?

No. No company is named anywhere on this site. Introductions are made directly, once we know what the work is.

  • What does it cost?

Per introduction, agreed before any company is named to you. There's no published price.

  • Will you manage the order or the quality?

No. We introduce, and the contract is between you and the supplier. We don't negotiate terms, inspect parts or manage deliveries.
